Horrible experience

Bought a Belgian Malinois puppy from this ‘breeder’ and had a horrible experience. I dealt with Mikyle. The breeder said the litter was ready to view and take home on Sunday 27/11/2022. I was not ready to collect the pup, but I wanted the opportunity to book my pick of the litter. So I went to view the pups, booked one of them and put down a deposit of more than 50% on that Sunday. My assumption was that as a breeder he would have the facility to keep the pups for an extra few days.

I made arrangements with him to collect the pup on Tuesday, 29/11. ‘Ok cool, i will not be at home on site at the moment but my mum will be there to collect the balance and hand over pup,’ was the reply I got. However for some reason he had the vet card in his car with him and said he could meet me another time to give it to me and mentioned he was coming to my area the next day. Trusting that he was a reliable breeder, I believed this. Not only did he not meet me the day he planned. He ignored my multiple calls until I sent him a message on 5/12/22, when he very rudely said it’s not his problem and I must wait till he’s available and come collect it from his home. He then said he didn’t want to hear from me about anything else.

Through all this I didn’t even get the chance to mention to him that the puppy I received was definitely not the one I chose. Coloring was different and this puppy was well underweight when I picked it up (ribs very visible, <3kg at pickup).

I’ve dealt with backyard breeders many times before and have never had such a horrible experience. For a so-called registered breeder, this is appalling.
