Watch Sold Under False Pretence

My daughter bought a watch for R780. The part of the strap looked like it might rub off. She asked the sales lady about it and sales lady said it wont rub off. She said ny daughter can bring it back if it does. Two weeks later the part on the strap rubbed off. She took it back and Swatch said they couldn't do anything about it. My daughter saved very long to buy a nice watch and she gets his poor service. We will never buy fro. Swatch again. They were very rude, saying that it's not their problem : (
