Warranty not covering broken item
2014 Suzuki Swift CA 712444. 6 November I Informed Mekor Suzuki of the rubber surround on the boot lock mechanism that is broken. They took photo's and referred the matter to Suzuki SA. Suzuki SA responds that it's a wear and tear item and will NOT cover under warranty. Mekor, as a goodwill gesture, offers to let me cover only half the cost, which will be R900. I declined as the vehicle is not 2 years old, has 61000km on the odo and is still under warranty. It's way too soon for an item that gets used regularly to just fail. Why warranty the vehicle if you not going to cover the parts? So it makes me nervous as to what else can fail that will not be covered under warranty. This is modern car, how can a part fail that quickly? Does Suzuki build cars to last not even 2 years, and then don't cover failure under warranty? Common Suzuki, don't destroy your credibility so soon after coming back. I kindly request that you honour the warranty on this item.<br> Caleb
