********* Business Practice

Our car was taken in for service with a minor external service in the month of November 2016, the car was released back to us without any sign or warning of potential dangers facing the engine due to the external damage as per the Suzuki Tzaneen service center.

A month later (December 2016) The car suffered a massive engine malfunction.

The vehicle was then towed to Suzuki Polokwane, where the allegations of external damages causing internal malfunctions were detailed. all blurry and suspicious.

The car is still under warranty. However, the verdict from Suzuki South Africa is that we are liable to pay R96 000 in cash to fix the engine problem.

Suzuki had a very clear opportunity to inform us that the external state of our vehicle had the potential to cause internal damage to the vehicle.

How can a car under warranty, with insurance, driven by a woman who religiously takes the car for service be exposed to problems of this magnitude without careful investigation and care from Suzuki South Africa?

All that was necessary was that after the service, Suzuki informs and puts in writing that the car was in danger of having engine problems due to its external conditions like they do at VW, Mercedes and other dealerships that we service our other vehicles from

We find this to be extremely ********* and careless of Suzuki to make us liable for such exorbitant amounts of monies whereas they had an opportunity to assist in mitigating this risk.
