Unacceptable service from Suzuki and still waiting for car 5 months later!

My daughter's Suzuki Brezza has been in the Suzuki workshop for close on 5 months, first Cape Town and now Helderberg Suzuki with no indication as to when she will receive it back again.

Helderberg Suzuki (to which the car was transferred from Cape Town Suzuki in November 2024) identified the ECU unit as the likely fault and advised that a replacement would be ordered from Japan. We were initially hopeful that this would resolve the issue. However, after a prolonged wait during the festive season, the part arrived from Japan, only for it to be discovered that the incorrect part had been ordered (an ECU for a manual car instead of an automatic)!

This error is perplexing and concerning, and now we face an additional delay of approximately a month before we know if this will be the correct repair solution. Furthermore, there is no guarantee as to how long the repair will last.

The car has been with Suzuki since September last year (and was with them earlier for a service and inspection of the same fault), highlighting their inability to adequately service a vehicle for which they are the accredited service agents. This situation reveals a lack of technical capability (across two Suzuki branches), attention to detail (ordering the incorrect part), and customer service (no proactive feedback; all follow-ups have been initiated by us through phone calls and workshop visits).

This situation is unacceptable to both myself and my daughter, the vehicle owner, who has been forced to use an inferior vehicle and has had her activities restricted due to the unavailability of her own car.

This saga has persisted for five months already, which is unreasonable by any standard.
