Suzuki Service Centre Suck
I am writing this on behalf of my dad. He WAS a proud owner of a Suzuki Jimny, so he bought his second Jimny in 2020. The car started loosing power and wouldn't idle. Suzuki Roadside Assistance came to fetch the car. This was early December 2021. We were going on a long overdue December holiday and no car to ride in. My dad had to fight his way through to get a loan car after he was given secret info. So this started on 1 December 2021. Today is 4th of March 2022. No Suzuki Jimny. The trained technicians told him that the nr 2 piston had no compression. After speaking to my dad, he said that it doesn't make sense, but that they were trained and that he is just a self trained mechanic. The same trained technicians told him middle January 2022 that it was actually a burnt valve and that it will take about 1 to 2 months for the part to arrive. With all this happening no one phoned my dad to inform him of what was going on. He had to email and phone Suzuki. February has gone by and the word was that they had to order a fanbelt which apparently also takes VERY long to arrive. The fact is that this is trained technicians that has no clue as to what is really wrong with your car. My dad travels everyday on the N2 from Gordons bay to Town. He is 68. No one can afford a car breaking down on the N2 let alone be 68 as well. Suzuki's whole manner in which they handled this is disgusting. My dad has the type of job that he has to be physically in the office. Who would pay his salary if he doesn't have a car? My dad's words to me the other day was that he once was a proud owner of a Suzuki Jimny (as a matter of fact he nearly talked me into buying the Suzuki Vitara Brezza), but he has lost his trust in the brand Suzuki and if it wasn't for his age & the fact that he cannot afford a new car at this stage in his life, he would sell his Jimny and started looking for a total other brand.
