Suzuki must fall...

I’m extremely disappointed by the way I was treated by both Suzuki Bryanston and Suzuki South Africa. I took my vehicle in for a service, and while it was in their care, another customer damaged it on their premises. I was told this was "not their problem" and that I must claim from my own insurance.

To make matters worse, I was shouted at and disrespected by the Dealer Principal, Collin Faark, and the Regional Operations Manager, Wayne Simmons. They refused to give any formal documentation, laughed about the situation in front of me, and declined to provide CCTV footage or a report on letterhead.

Suzuki then claimed to not be able to open the voice recording of the mistreatment from Faark and Wayne the recording, which is highly suspicious and suggests a cover-up of their inappropriate conduct- they insisted that they called my husband and informed him which was not true and then later said "I cant be investigating this and dont have time to give you the recording".

Even more disappointing, the Head of Customer Service from Suzuki SA phoned me without even knowing the details of my case — she simply said the dealership will not be helping and that I must fix the car myself. This completely disregards the fact that the vehicle was damaged while in Suzuki’s possession. I now face losing my cashback reward on my insurance, higher premiums, and paying excess for something that happened under their watch.

The lack of accountability, honesty, and empathy shown is disgraceful and completely contradicts Suzuki’s brand values. I expected better from a global brand, but I was left feeling humiliated, dismissed, and financially burdened.

I will be taking this up with MIOSA and other legal avenues, as this is unacceptable on every level.
