Suzuki Jimny Brake Recall Mishandled – Safety Put at Risk

I bought a Suzuki Jimny in 2024 for my children, specifically because Suzuki promotes the vehicle as safe and reliable. Just over a year later, the car developed serious braking problems.

I took the vehicle to Suzuki Gezina, where I was charged an absurd amount of money to replace braking components. At no point was I informed of any recall or known defect.

Only afterwards, at another Suzuki dealership, was I told there is a braking system recall affecting Suzuki Jimnys. This critical safety information was never disclosed to me by Suzuki Gezina.

When I tried to claim under warranty, it was rejected because alternative parts had already been fitted and the old parts were discarded — a situation that occurred solely because I was never informed of the recall in the first place.

This is unacceptable. A known safety defect was not communicated, I was left out of pocket, and most importantly, my children’s lives were put at risk. This is not just poor service — it is a serious failure in customer care and safety responsibility.

I am extremely disappointed with Suzuki’s handling of this matter and the complete lack of transparency and communication.
