Suzuki dealerships letdowns.
My sister, independent lady of 78 had to sell her car due to difficulty with a manual clutch and settled on the top-of-the-range Spresso Automatic. January, we visited a dealer at Cape Gate but there was no demo, so instead of inquiring to the name and contact details of my sister, they slapped a spec sheet with prices in our hands and that was it....definite sale lost! Next stop a booked test drive at Thorpe N1 City...everything confirmed 3 days in advanced and the Tuesday evening receives a WhatsApp that the lady with the demo vehicle was in an accident, test drive cancelled and no follow-up since. Next stop Tygervallei with a test drive set-up for this morning 10h00...receive WhatsApp message just before 10h00...the lady with the demo model is sick, can my sister postpone to Monday. A productive day lost. Is there no interaction with Suzuki dealerships to arrange a suitable demo model and in my mind, inadequate sales decorum? Think of the after-sales service if the pre-acquisition service is not up to tried and tested standard...contact, information, communication, follow-up. Is it really going so well with these dealerships that they relinquish the opportunity for a definite sale? I advised her to take her money elsewhere, but she set her mind on Suzuki, as it is not the brand but the supporting structures representing the brand. If I am convinced as being unreasonable, I would gladly retract above statement, but 3 dealership letdowns are not the norm.
