Suzuki Customer "Care" doesn't really care at all...
I had some VERY poor experiences with Suzuki Cape Town in Loop Street - from a rude reception to a very rude manager calling that afternoon to ask where we where when we were not there at 15h30 to fetch our vehicle because they were closing early and wanted to leave... to not having the problem on my car sorted out (engine light was showing and the car was not starting properly). They simply claimed that they didn't find any faults and the engine light didn't show for them (it had showed for a month before and has shown for a month after and the car still has starting issues. I then found out that my one tyre was worn completely down to the metallic inner lining when my car started shaking about 2 weeks after the service. I live in the Karoo and took the car to a local mechanic that saw that. Suzuki didn't even notice it for the car's MAJOR service where tyre safety is meant to be a standard check. I emailed the garage to ask about that and they simply confirmed that they do a safety check, but when questioned why then my tyre was not notice, I got no response. Throughout my last few emails to the Cape Town Loop street office I started copying in Suzuki South Africa Customer "Care" - hoping that they would be as appalled as I was at the service I had received. They did not so much as comment. I then emailed them and asked why I had heard nothing. A lady by the name of Angeline responded with a short unfriendly response to say that the reason was because I had not lodged a formal complaint yet or sent my VIN number... I had assumed that they would figure out that I was unhappy when I started copying them in and would have hoped that they would respond to guide me as to how to lodge a formal complaint - surely I do not have to ask them why they're ignoring the fact that I am copying them in? So I lodged a formal complaint against 1. the garage in Loop Street and 2. the Customer "Care" of Suzuki South Africa...that was 8th October...today is 18th October and not so much as an acknowledgement. I was a HUGE Suzuki fan as the car has been a great car...but after the last few experiences with Suzuki, I won't be getting another, which is a pity as I am due for a new vehicle as my Grand Vitara is now 10 years old.
