Suzuki Boksburg Neglects Customer Vehicle causing more damage. No feedback from Suzuki SA either. Still No Failure Report. Disgusted

On the 16 October 2019 we sent a 2012 Suzuki Alto 1.0 GLX for strip and quote to repair the engine due to overheating to Suzuki Boksburg. We only received a quote 14 November 2019. We decided to do an unexpected visit to this dealership (19 November Tuesday this week) to assess the damage. My dad being a retired qualified mechanic came with me to offer advise on the way forward regarding this repair as the quoted price seemed excessive for a small engine. We were then taken through the workshop to the vehicle which had been stripped for quoting only to find it outside (no undercover parking) with the engine bay exposed to the outside elements. The cylinder head was sent in for quoting to the engineers. We were shocked to find that there was no effort to protect or cover the engine bay. Please see photos attached. Note that the bonnet was down on our arrival but that in no way protected the cylinder block which now has signs of rust where the technician should have put some oil to prevent this and covered it up. Now that's an additional cost to us to hone the bores and possibly purchase new rings due the negilence of this workshop. We have requested a report on the failure and still no response from Suzuki South Africa Customer Care centre since 21 November 2019. Then we get quoted R30k for this repair and they can't tell us the cause of failure but it's fine for them to quote random new parts which are not required. Clearly ***********. Just out to ******* customers to reach targets.

This particular vehicle has always been serviced at this branch (even though the warranty has expired) up until this last overheating issue because now we will not be using Suzuki Boksburg or possibly any other branch as this is not the level of service one would expect from the Suzuki brand.

I do not know what to say other than being extremely shocked about the storage and neglect of this vehicle from this particular branch. Is this standard practise for Suzuki South Africa?

Kindly advise the way forward as this is unacceptable and we have collected the vehicle unrepaired as your facility doesn't respect customers vehicles. If only I could upload photos of the damage and the state in which the car was left outside for almost a month.

We currently own 3 Suzuki vehicles and have never received such poor service up until now.
