Suzuki Auto SA

Suzuki loves to make cars to drive, I agree, especially the new Fronx - for that reason only I give 3 stars…for the car, and not for their ‘service’. I looked at the Fronx in October 2023 here in Centurion South Africa (SA), and thought ‘this is my next car’! Suzuki SA advertises the Suzuki models and dealerships here in South Africa on, amongst other, Facebook, under their umbrella “Suzuki SA”. As Yukio Sato MD once said in an article…”Suzuki family”! Yet, when it comes to a problem being experienced with one of their recommended dealerships (Centurion, SA), Suzuki SA shirk their responsibility and just say, ‘sorry, it’s not our problem, take it up with the dealership’. But, of course, the said dealership is not interested in solving the problem, and you, as client, are left high and dry! I paid a deposit in October, for a Fronx GLX AT dark grey, to avoid price increases (end Oct & 2024) mentioned by the salesperson - in total the price would have been not more than R350000. I was also informed that there was a waiting period for that model but I was willing to wait as it’s the model I want(ed). In November the salesperson pushed ‘a white one’ but I informed her I’m only interested in the dark grey one. Since that contact Suzuki Centurion went quiet. On 02 May 2024 I contacted them - sufficient time to source my car I thought!? - and was informed “no they did not forget about me (hmm yeah, no contact for 5 months!)….but the price increases I wanted to avoid would apply to me (so why did salesperson push me to pay deposit to ‘avoid’ it?! - sales gimmick??)…’ Suzuki Auto SA just say ‘sorry, not their problem’… Yes!, Suzuki’s cars are amazing, but unfortunately, the same cannot be said about ‘Suzuki SA’ and their dealership.
