Replacements of v-belts

I took my Jimny about two weeks ago in for its 45000* km service. Later the day the admin lady phoned me and told me that both the v-belts must be replaced. The total cost will be R2160. Luckily I had not that kind of money and I told her to hang on I will replace it later. When I spoke to several people how expensive it is they told me that it can't be that expensive. I then phoned Suzuki Montana and spoke to the workshop manager there. He told me that it is not that expensive and I must bring my car in which I did. He then told me that the v-belt costs only R138. He then looked at my car and informed me that it is not necessary to replace both, only the front one needs to be replaced. He further did a goodwill claim and the company came back and told him that I only need to pay for the labour which cost me only R140. When I phoned Suzuki Hatfield and requested them an explanation the admin lady told me that Rudi du Preez the workshop manager will phone me back. Needless to say up until now I have not received any call from him.
