Replacement of Clutch Plate
I bought a new Suzuki Swift at the end of June 2014 from Suzuki Vereeniging. At the beginning of June 2015 I noticed that the car was losing power. The car is still under warranty and I booked the car in for checking on the 25th June. On the evening of the 24th June as I was driving back home from work as I turned into K101 Road in Midrand the car lost power and stalled. The car was towed to Suzuki Midrand. Patrick Comley-White told me that the problem is the clutch and it could be that I abused the clutch plate by the way I drive and that warranty will not replace the clutch plate. The cost to replace will be R7000. I told him that I have over 30 years driving experience and had driven manuals and never had clutch problems. He told me that the Suzuki Warranty Dept will come and assess the problem. My car has been there since and I only got the report on the 6th July after persistent phone calls to them. The report says: Changing from a high gear to a low gear, whilst travelling at a high speed
