IN MY OPINION SUZUKI IS RIPPING US CONSUMERS OFF REGARDING THE COST OF SERVICING OUR VEHICLES

I have a Suzuki Ignis which is now 3 years old but only done 15000kms yet I must pay R3 800 for a major service which should only be done if the vehicle had done 45000kms but now is due because of it's annual service period demands it so as to retain the 5 year warrantee.

I got quotations from other RMI approved dealerships who confirmed that in reality they don't believe it requires a major service because of the low millage and quoted me approx. R1 500 which is less than half what Suzuki is charging me. But I will then loose my 5 year warrantee so "my hands are tied" as I have no option.

I believe this is a total money making racket because why change parts etc. that are still in perfect working order? Again, in my opinion we as consumers are being ********** and I think the motor industry ombudsman needs to look into this and change the warrantee regulations going forward.
