I would be careful about Suzuki
I was so excited. I finally managed to afford to buy a new car. We bought a Suzuki S-presso as it fitted into our budget. While taking delivery of the car I tuned the radio to one of my favourite stations Hot91.9 FM. The station crackled and I could hardly hear anything. The sales person told me that it was because the car was still inside the building. I accepted that. After taking delivery of the car from Suzuki in Northcliff the problems continued in that most of the stations that wanted to listen to would either break up or not play at all. In some cases, I knew that I was right in the middle of the broadcast area. I told the dealership about it in the first few days of owning the car. I was asked to bring the car in, which I did. The sales person had a listen and went to speak to a few people. She came back and told me that it was the transmission signals. Initially I accepted that, until I took my wife’s car to work and there was no problem listening to the radio. The signal was clear. I contacted the dealership and asked to bring the car in again for them to look at the radio and finalise the registration. The sales person spoke to somebody from the service department and she asked that I bring the car in on Friday at 14:30. I arranged to leave work early and go to the dealership and arrived at 14:30ish. After seeing the lady in question, I was asked to wait for a few minutes for a technician. The technician arrived almost an hour later at his convenience. I went through the whole story again and after much toing and froing it was decided that Suzuki would replace the radio but that a claim had to be put in to get a new unit. I get a telephone call yesterday asking me to “get the car to them buy 10 am today” so that another technician can look at the radio. I emailed all of this to the dp, sales person and new car sales manager at the dealership but nobody has bothered to reply. Later I got another call telling me that the technician has been booked of sick and I must get the car to the dealership on Thursday. I rep**** that they must get the technician to my work as I cannot keep taking time off to run to them. I was told that it’s not possible and she will call me today to try and assist and finalise a time. Suzuki was very quick to take my good money but doesn’t seem to want to help a customer.
