Do not buy a Suzuki! EVER!
I purchased my Suzuki Swift 1.2 GA in January 2017. Please take note this is a brand new vehicle with 12km on the clock.
The day I went to fetch the vehicle from the showroom the radio (brand new) did not pick up any signal from the local radio station. I was told to bring the vehicle on Monday and it would be sorted out, which I did. The radio worked for a few days and stopped. I then took it back to Suzuki, it worked for a few days and then stopped again. All in all I have taken the vehicle back a total of 9 times for the same problem. I have been assured the rewiring has been done and new aerial fitted. It is now a year later and it still cannot pick up signal for longer than a week before it stops working.
The second month I had the car, I woke up to find the front windscreen had been cracked from top to bottom. In order to claim from insurance I took the vehicle to Glasfit, thinking I had maybe gotten a stone chip on the road. After the windscreen was inspected I was told the windscreen had cracked due to a factory fault. Needless to say I went back to Suzuki where my claim was processed and vehicle kept for the day in order to change the windscreen.
In December I took the car for it's 15 000 km service where the usual fitting and replacing was done. In early January my vehicle started to make a 'knocking' noise coming from the front right wheel whenever I app**** brakes. I took my vehicle back to Suzuki yesterday where it was kept the whole day once again. When I went to fetch it last night I was told by the mechanic he had driven the car and heard the noise, he assured me the suspension had been checked and everything was fine. He also told me he had driven another new Swift and it made the same noise. Therefore it's not something I should worry about and it's 'normal' Now, I may be blonde and female but I sure as hell know a knocking noise coming from the front wheel of my car is not 'normal'. I am no idiot and refuse to be treated like one. I was assured a warranty claim will be done for new disks and brakes, but if that doesn't fix the problem there is nothing they can do. Just like the radio which still isn't working. They can't be bothered to fix a problem, but are happy to take R170 000 for a vehicle which isn't right.
I have even been told by the salesman I have a 'Monday vehicle'. As far as I'm concerned they can take their 'Monday vehicle' and give me a 'Friday vehicle'. I will never again buy a Suzu****!!
