Beware of Suzuki's After-Sales Service and Warranty Conditions
If you're considering buying a Suzuki, be sure to thoroughly review the warranty booklet. Unfortunately, this booklet is not provided when you excitedly purchase and receive your new Suzuki. However, it quickly becomes a point of reference when issues arise.
A significant point to note is the clutch replacement policy. Regardless of whether your vehicle is under warranty, you will likely need to replace the clutch at 40,000 km. They can't determine your driving habits, but let me share my experience: I previously owned two second-hand Volkswagens, both of which exceeded 90,000 km and 101,000 km without any clutch issues. In contrast, I bought a brand-new Suzuki Vitara Brezza and noticed a clutch shudder between the 30,000 km and 45,000 km service interval. I was then informed that the clutch is only covered until 40,000 km or 5 years, whichever comes first.
Moreover, when I received my car back after its service, no one informed me about this 40,000 km warranty limit. I discovered this only a week later when I requested a written email regarding the issue to escalate it to the head office, which turned out to be a useless effort.
Given this experience, I will definitely sell my Suzuki and never buy this brand again.
