Arrogant after sales service
We were in the market for a used vehicle and found a 2004 VW Citi Golf advertised on the Internet. The link went to Suzuki Northcliff and Desmond contacted me regarding the sale. Upon arrival at the Dealership the money for payment was handed to Francisco who counted the money and handed us an invoice for the amount. The vehicle was not ready as per agreement, it was not cleaned and registration was not done. The cost for cleaning was exchanged for a full tank of petrol. The following week the engine battery became weaker and by Saturday it could not start the engine anymore, I replaced the battery with my own money. In spite of an agreement only some of the money were refunded except a shortfall of R465.12 for license plates and license plate holders in spite of charging me R1500 for license and registration. Suzuki SA declined to assist and referred me back to the dealer involve. Francisco is very friendly and helpful prior to the sale but when after sales service is required he is arrogant, does not take your calls, does not respond to messages and does not respond to all your e-mails.

(Report edited by Hellopeter.com)

As per previous communication via email, Suzuki Auto South Africa responded with the below:
This email serves to confirm that we have received your complaint and will be attending to it.
Unfortunately with this being a used vehicle and also non-Suzuki, our jurisdiction is very limited with regards to the handling and resolving of your complaint.
However, please note that we have been in contact with the Dealer Principal and Sales Manager at Suzuki Northcliff and made them aware of your concern and will revert with feedback should we receive this.
You will be contacted by either the Sales Manager or Dealer Principal from the Northcliff dealership who will facilitate the resolving of your concern.
Due to the vehicle being a second hand non-Suzuki vehicle as well as a vehicle that is 11 years old we have limited say due to the dealership being privately owned by a franchise and selling this vehicle under used cars.
We have been in contact with the dealership and we are aware that the refund was made for what was promised to you.
Best regards,
Suzuki Auto South Africa
