DISGUSTED - SUTHERLAND TRANSPORT

I live in Milnerton Cape Town. A February'24 a large Sutherland Transport truck turned into our road. It was a wide turn but the driver did not quite make the turn and knocked a electrical pole. My neighbour was in his garden and saw the whole thing. There was a loud bang and the wires on the pole melted together. Resulting that a few house had no electricity for about 6 hours. The council were there speedily and they got to work. When the electricity eventually came on it was chaos. My alarm went crazy, the microwave popped, the garage doors would not open, my street camera stopped working. My husband manage to sort the garage doors out and the street camera. I got the gent out to sort the alarm out and my husband went to buy a new microware. We contacted Sutherland and sent them video and cell phone footage of the incident. It was back and forth and they eventually they gave us the insurance details. We only want to claim for the repairs on the alarm and the cost of the microwave, as my husband manage at our cost to repair the other items. We have had a roller coaster ride trying to claim. They now want us to get 3 quotes. This happened in February. I had my alarm repair the next day and I use my microwave daily. My neighbour had a lot more damage and he is disgusted at the response he has had from Sutherland.
