Dals Coachworks in Montague Gardens

I would like to share with the public my experience I had with Dals coachworks in Montague Gardens and wondered if anybody else has had similar experiences.

A twenty thousand odd fender bender took them 5 weeks to repair after promising me it would take 2 weeks. Excuses were:-

1. Blamed my insurance company for not sending authorisation through but checking with insurance company Dals had received authorisation with a read back the day before my car was even handed in to them.

2. Blamed Honda for not getting the parts in time, in checking Honda delivered most of the parts in two days ,but two parts had to come from overseas which arrived in two weeks. Does it take three weeks to assemble????????

3. Blamed me for not booking car in. I went the week before to get assessment done and asked if I could deliver the car the next week and was told that was fine and I could have the car back in two weeks

Why did I take my car there? I had to choose a company that was recognised by Honda as my car was still under warranty. The choice was very limited and maybe Honda should find more reputable firms to deal with which they can recommend to their customers. I repeatedly phoned and asked but was told they were waiting for a part or it was in the paint shop.

When questioning the Managing director at Montague gardens he wrote me a note explaining why it took 5 weeks. Used all the above plus did not even know when my car was handed in to him. Why did he not check the facts before printing me a note with a pack of lies. In fact the manager felt 5 weeks was the correct time to fix this fault . How long would they take to fix a car with serious damage????

In their favour they did give me a curtesy car to use but it did not help me when I had to transport my elderly relations in a wheelchair. I had to leave one relation at home every time as the wheel chair had to go on the back seat and I had to fit the carer in as well. No apology was forthcoming from the manager at Montague.
