Suria Motors - worse experience ever.
Although it's 3 years later, I would like to share the bad experience I had with Suria Motors. Sep 2016 I paid a R10 000.00 deposit for a Cherry QQ vehicle of which I was told only the passenger side was affected in a "light accident". When we started with the registration process, we noticed they indicated on the paperwork the car is a rebuilt. Thus, a rebuilt car that was actually written off! Thus, NOT a light accident! We immediately stopped the process (was still within the cool-off period), but they refused to adhere and continued with registration. I demanded my deposit back, after numerous calls and visits to the dealer (of which they never honored the appointments) I went to MIOSA (motor industry ombudsman), after a long period they finally ruled in my favour and ordered Suria Motors to pay back my deposit. They still did not adhere, there after I went to the NCC, I sent several requests to them myself, even had an attorney (on my own cost) send them Letters of Demand - and to this day; they still have not paid back my deposit - or at least the balance after a minimal cancellation fee. Nothing. In essence, they stole my money - they've got R10 000 for which I have nothing to show. This is deliberate misrepresentation of goods they sell, as well as intentional ignorance and theft. I advise any one strongly to reconsider or be super carefull when you deal with Suria and Mohammed. They never answered any of my, MIOSA and the attorney's messages via phone or email. The worst service and retail experience I ever encountered.
