Shocking Manager

I took my wife to Surfside restaurant on 23 Sept. We waited an hour for food, calamari wasn't grilled as requested, food wasn't great and the waiter spilled my ice coffee and my wife's hot drink over us. The manager Stephaan, came to us and my wife asked what he would do to make the situation right. Stephaan said that we didn't have to pay for the spilled drinks and that since we've already enjoyed our food, what more did we want? My wife was highly upset with him for not making any effort to make up for the mistake. After much shouting in the restaurant between my wife and the manager, he said he would suspend the waiter for a week, gave us 20% discount and stormed off refusing to talk to us further. My wife wasn't even upset with the waiter. The following day I went to discuss the matter with Stephaan privately and told him that he could simply have given us 10% discount or free milkshakes and needed to treat my wife with TLC. I gave him her number and asked if he could phone her and apologize. The call never came. We will never be dining there again. I would like the owner to know who he's allowing to run his business and to think hard about it before this restaurant closes down
