Our experience with Sure Mithas Travel has been an absolute nightmare. We have been trying to organise and book a Mauritius trip for over two months and have experienced nothing but delays, unanswered calls and emails, contradictory information and an endless run-around. The problems started from our very first enquiry. We contacted them after seeing an Instagram adverti*****t for a Mauritius package. There was no contact number on the advert, our calls went unanswered, and I eventually resorted to messaging them on Instagram. After waiting an extremely long time for a response, I randomly received a call one Friday afternoon saying they were working on our enquiry. Then there was little to no communication again. By the time they eventually came back to us, we were told the advertised deal was sold out. I genuinely wonder whether it would have sold out had our enquiry been dealt with promptly instead of taking weeks to receive proper assistance. Despite this, we still chose to proceed with Sure Mithas Travel and ended up booking a trip at approximately double the price of the original advertised deal, expecting that the process would at least be handled professionally from that point onwards. Unfortunately, that is when the real back-and-forth began. Communication has been shocking. Emails repeatedly go unanswered, telephone calls are not answered, and we constantly have to chase them for updates regarding our own booking. Even more frustrating is the constant contradiction and changing information. We are told one thing, only for it to be invalidated in the very next conversation. At times, trying to obtain a straightforward answer has genuinely felt like trying to deal with someone arguing that 1 + 1 = 3. The airline situation is a perfect example. We would be given an airline option and attempt to proceed, only to then be told that it was sold out or no longer available. Another airline would be suggested, and the exact same thing would happen again. This happened repeatedly. At what point is the customer actually supposed to have a confirmed booking? We were also told that we were not allowed to pay by credit card, without receiving a satisfactory explanation as to why. For customers spending a significant amount of money on international travel, payment methods and any restrictions should be communicated clearly and transparently. Our experience with Nobuhle has been particularly disappointing. Despite numerous attempts to obtain assistance and straightforward answers, there has been very little urgency, communication or meaningful assistance. We should not have to repeatedly chase someone just to receive basic information about a trip we have already committed financially towards. Then came the hotel. After more than two months of trying to arrange this trip, all the emails and phone calls, numerous airline changes, endless uncer*****y and almost two cancellations, we were eventually informed that the hotel we specifically wanted was now sold out. We understand that airlines and hotels can sell out and that availability changes. What is unacceptable is the constant lack of communication, delayed responses and contradictory information while customers are left waiting, only to later discover that the options they wanted are no longer available. A travel agency is supposed to make organising an international holiday easier — not turn it into months of stress, uncer*****y and constant chasing. At this point, we have absolutely no confidence in Sure Mithas Travel. We have been given the run-around for far too long, and the entire experience has left an extremely bitter impression. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Sure Mithas Travel to anyone looking to organise an international holiday.
