Pathetic Chrome Job

Empty promises, atrocious quality and zero QC.

I took selected new and used steel and aluminium motorcycle components to Supreme Bumpers for chrome-plating. Waited a month. They never called when it was ready; I had to enquire.

The nightmare starts with the most important step being messed up; preparation - deep scores under chrome, from using low grit sandpaper or similar, that was too deep to be covered fully during intermediate nickel plating. Amongst the steel parts were chromed bag bars that had to be re-chromed to correct minor scratches from a tip-over. They now represent worse than they did with the original scratches.

And they CANNOT chrome aluminium. You will be told aluminium does not conduct electricity (?). My aluminium components now feature blowholes, debris inclusions and bubbles - countless bubbles, all sizes. And scratch under the chrome, of course.

I first had to clean the parts to remove buffing residue and then still polish hours to remove blemishes. I could not imagine a worse job. And they chrome some motorcycle parts like car bumpers, with a finished front and un/semi-finished backside. Do NOT entrust them with your motorcycle or its components.
