Deliberately selling rotten or unsafe food to customers ( Spar-Jozini)

On the 16th of February 2026, I bought a pack of plain scones from Spar at Ithala Centre, Jozini Town. After eating two scones, I realise that they were fully rotten and full of mold, but they were marked as freshly baked and parked on the 16th and can be utilised up to the 20th of February 2026. I then went back to the store to report this. The poor service and unprofessional behaviour I received from the store staff is unacceptable. Mr. Mandla Nhleko, who was responsible for the bakery, could not even apologise to me, but instead he rushed to help me with the refund. He didn't even mind that I ate rotten food, which may be dangerous to me and could cause food poising. I asked for a store manager to formally complain; I was kept waiting for more than 10 minutes, and later I was told that the manager, Mr Desmond Mzileni, is busy and I must come back after 3 hours.
