Flight cancelled regards to lack of information

I booked an air ticket with Supersaver from Hanoi to South Africa Booking number YEQRLC. There were 2 stop overs in China.

When I arrived at the airport in Hanoi Vietnam I couldn't fly because I needed a Visa for China. No-one informed that I needed a Visa. Supersaver said it was my responsibility to make sure that I had a Visa. I can't understand why I needed a Visa because I wouldn't enter the country. I would have stayed on the airport to catch my next flight. I feel that they should have informed me that I needed a visa for my flight. They refuse to reimburse me for my lost. I had to buy a new ticket to come to South Africa. Can you please help me to get my money back? They are willing to refund me R400 for taxes which I feel is ridiculous.
