No exchange of sale goods

Hi

I purchased shoes at the Black Friday sale. When I got home, I found that the shoes I purchased for my husband were a size too small.

When I took them back for an exchange, they told me that their policy is no exchange on sale items. This is not acceptable as this was not clarified at the time that I made the purchase but more importantly contravenes the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act.

Can we please get this rectified.
