Strict policies equate to bad service

On Sunday I collected a trailer from super trailer. Unfortunately I did not get to use the trailer for the intended purpose and basically rented it for nothing.

On Monday the day got a bit away from me and I returned the trailer late. Mondays there are always a lot of trailers available and I thought this would not be a problem as I am a regular customer and don't make a habit of returning trailers late.

Super trailer charged me for an extra day despite several trailers being available. They said there were only two of these size trailers and the other one was rented out.

I asked Sybrandt if somebody for looking for this specific size trailer. He said the trailer was late and not there. Now, if super trailer could have rented it to an actual customer if it was there and they consequently suffered a loss, then I would gladly pay the extra day penalty.

They however choose to use a \might have / could have rented policy". If you charge a regular customer just on principle it is bad service and I would rather take my business elsewhere.

Great businesses are about building relationships - it is not about charging the customer whenever you can - that is bad service."""
