“SUPER QUICK……ABSOLUTELY!”

It was a Saturday morning - just before our war began - when everything was going wrong. Making matters worse a back tyre on my 25 year old car was almost flat. Limping into Super Quick at the Kloof KZN centre I asked what hope there was of getting help to switch the stricken tyre with the spare wheel (I’m 81 - help appreciated!) They were busy so I didn’t expect anything but a long wait - if indeed any help at all was possible. That’s not what happened! “Why switch, sir?” asked the kindly man I presumed to be the manager. “Let’s fix the puncture instead, or you won’t have a spare over the weekend.” It was amazing to witness the immediate professionalism that saw my wheel swiftly removed and maybe just 20 minutes later bolted back on, good as new….well, good as mu old but serviceable tyre can be. Then - incredibly - when asking how much I owed can you believe I was told “Nothing, sir……have this one on us!” Such an act of kindness in these difficult times deserves a public ‘thank you’……so, sincerely, “Thank You - very much appreciated!”
