Supa Quick Seapoint disappoints.
SUPA QUICK. SEAPOINT I needed to replace my spare wheel off my Chev Corso Bakkie after it was ****** I went in this morning to super Quick in Sea Point and was given a quote for a New Rim and tyre for R2500 They had to order one in for me as they had no stock . They said I should come back in 2 hours . On returning I was presented with a 2nd hand Rim that was full of corrosion on the inside. At no time when giving the quote did they mention that I would be receiving a 2nd hand Rim. They claim that no new rims are available and have in fact been discontinued. Why was I not told up front that this would be a 2nd hand Rim when quoted ? Are new rims actually unavailable or did they just take advantage of me being an older woman ? Had they told me upfront that it was a 2nd hand Rim I would have called the Auto s**** yards myself to source one . I think R1750 is excessive for a corroded 2nd hand Rim. After much debate they agreed to charge me R1500 for the rim and R750 for the tyre ( TOTAL R2250) Me - Not wanting to drive around without a spare tyre agreed to pay the R 2250. However I feel like I have been taken advantage of :- why not tell me upfront that the rim is going to be 2nd hand ?
All in all I'm left with the feeling that I have been ********** , having been sold a 2nd hand Rim at what I feel is an inflated price .
Will I return to this place next time I need new tyre's- highly unlikely. Will I reccomend them - highly unlikely.. ( And I live a few blocks away -so this is unfortunate)
SUPER QUICK should tell a person that they will be receiving a 2nd hand rim when they ask for a quote.
