Shoddy workmanship

Dear Yolandi Grundeling,

This email serves as a complaint but more importantly, this email serves as a humble public service announcement to Superquick as a well-respected brand and business within the tire industry.

On 15 February 2020, I visited Super Quick Hatfield brunch to conduct a tyre fitment (using my tyres that were already on my car) on my car as I had purchase new wheels/rims from a different entity.

As I'm a regular customer at the brunch I always rely on Super Quick Hatfield brunch to source my Bridgestone tyres from. I was assisted swiftly and at the time there were no issues identified after the work had been done. I paid for wheel balancing together with a wheel alignment.

A was concerned when driving home my vehicle was not driving smoothly. however, I did not pay much attention to the matter thinking that maybe the new wheels I had purchased and later installed at Super Quick Hatfield were not according to the specification of the car.

None the less I decided to park my car and not used it as I was also due for service.

On 12 March 2020, I finally had funds to get the service done on the vehicle at Tunetec Investments Pty Ltd (a reputable RIM approved repair and maintenance center).

On close safety check/inspection they compulsory conduct on each a car booked in for service, they discovered that my left rear wheel was missing 4 wheel nuts and the only thing that was holding the wheel was 1 lock nut.

When I was informed about this was shocked and worried that my life and that of other road users could have been at risk of a catastrophic nature due to these missing wheel nuts. Furthermore, considering the last time I had an work done on my car was at Supa Quick Hatfield.

Fortunately, due to the nature of my slow driving style, this was not the case due to God's mercy.

I wished to implore you as an organization to instill principles were good workmanship is conducted at all times. when such incidents due to human error are double-checked if all is well with the car and when i.e wheel nuts are not accounted for in the workshop, for the store manager to be pro-active at least and contact patrons that did business with the brunch on the day to warn them and request them to check if all is well with their cars.

I thank the Lord that nothing happened to my vehicle or other road users on the road.
