Poor Service (If you want your vehicle burnt, go there)
I am very disappointed by the bad service received from Supa Quick Ormonde. I am afraid that If not reported, your franchise will lose customers as a result of few rotten potatoes. I would like to report the following and hope that you will assist me by receiving back my refund: 1. I came to Supa Quick Ormonde on the 10th March 2010 with my Nissan Hardbody NP300 4X4 to get my battery tested and to test the alternator for failure 2. Supa Quick tested my battery and it was ok and they confirmed that my alternator was not charging the battery (At the same time they took my old battery without my permission) still not received 3. They forced me to buy a new battery at the cost of R1000 4. I already called Breno Parts and they confirmed that they have a new alternator ready for me to purchase and I was forced by Supa Quick to repair the alternator in my car instead of buying a new one 5. I agreed and they proceeded with the alternator to be removed and repaired. 6. I was waiting at Supa Quick from 08:00am - 16:30pm (And no one bothered to give me feedback during the course of the day. I had to go to them and ask them for feedback regarding the repairs) 7. Eventually a person by the name of Altaaf confirmed that the alternator was repaired. I paid an amount of +/- R2900 for the new battery and the alternator repairs (The alternator repairs was +/- R1600) 8. I collected my children from school and as I was driving home towards the M1 South, smoke started emanating from my car and I had to stop the car. I immediately called Supa Quick and they said that they will send a driver and a mechanic, which they did, but me out of desperation drove the car and stopping in between until I arrived back at Supa Quick. 9. I reported the matter to Altaaf and he had a look at the front. The driver and technician arrived some time after me and the driver was very rude to me, indicating that I made him drive around looking for me for nothing. 10. Altaaf and the mechanic identified that the alternator was very hot and it was causing the smoke emanating from the car and they immediately disconnected the alternator, so I drove the car home without an alternator running from the battery 11. This morning 11/03/2020 I managed to take the car to Nissan End Street to assist me with the alternator replacement. I ordered a new part from Breno Parts and Nissan managed to assist with the installation 12. I called Altaaf from Supa Quick to refund my money for an alternator that was never repaired and instead almost caused my car to burn out 13. He unfortunately indicated that I bring the broken alternator back to them to be relooked at and I will not get my refund back. I this fair? 14. I already purchased and installed a new alternator, what do I do with a burnt out alternator? This is senseless to bring the old alternator back to Supa Quick for repairs. 15. During the time I was waiting at Supa Quick Ormonde from 08:00am 16:30pm, I also noticed that customers from Indian and white descent are being treated friendly and differently compared to African and Coloured, which was very sad to see. I hope this complaint will be dealt with in a professional and fair manner and I await your prompt response.
