I went to SupaQuick, Cape Town in Bree Street for a quotation to replace front and rear brake shoes, discs as well as bearings. I was told they will send me the quote the same day, the next day I went back to ask for the quote again which they then supp****. I took the car in 2 days later after making the necessary arrangements on my side to have the work done, I was told to bring te car in the morning and they will have it done by the afternoon. I removed the front brakes and bearings from the quote and they gave me a new quote with only the rear parts and labour. They asked me if I accepted the quote to which I agreed and gave them the go-ahead to start with the job. In the afternoon they contacted me to notify me that the bearings they received was the wrong part and they needed another day, I was unable to leave the car with them overnight as it is our only means of transport and agreed to take it back the next day. By this stage the rear brake discs were already fitted but I was instructed to pay once the job is completed as their card machine was offline. I took the car back early the next day as instructed only to receive a phone call that the parts they quoted me on where not correct and the correct parts were substantially more expensive. According to my knowledge and the CPA, a quotation verbal or written is a binding agreement to supply a service or product at a given price. Nothing changed on my side, when asked what car I drove, I told them it is a 2012 KIA Sportage 2.0 A/T front wheel drive. The car I took them was exactly that. They phoned for pricing twice in my presence before I accepted the quote and gave those vehicle details to their supplier B&S Motorspares in Montague Gardens. The manager at Supa Quick, Darius, simply blames the supplier and refused to provide me with the service and parts I had accepted at the price quoted on. I have instructed them to remove the parts they have installed and to give me my vehicle back in the condition and with the parts fitted as I supp**** it to them with a R0.00 invoice. Not sure who they are going to supply the used brakes to that they are now removing from my car. Thanks to the way they do business, not only have I wasted multiple hours and fuel in traffic to get the car to them twice, but I am still stuck with the same problem I had a week ago, where this could have been resolved by a company with more credibility and better customer service on the same day and I would have been able to use my car to go away on holiday as I planned.
