*********** OPERATOR
As residents in the Port Alfred area we have been using Supa Quick Port Alfred for the past 3 years for our 5 vehicles. One of the vehicles is a Hyundai i10, which had two new tyres installed on the front. After approximately 5,000km there was considerable wear on the outer edge of the tyres, and the cause was determined to be alignment. This was supposedly corrected and the tyres were switched on the rims so that the wear was on the inner side. The vehicle was unstable on the road, so was taken back for an alignment check. One of the nuts was found to have never been loosened before, so the previous alignment correction could not have been done. After a further 5,000km the outer wear was again evident. Supa Quick's response was that the tyres were under-inflated. Upon checking they confirmed that this was not the case. When pressed for a reason for the abnormal wear, they admitted that they DID NOT KNOW HOW TO SET THE CAMBER AND CASTER! They advised that we take the vehicle to another tyre alignment operator. Wesson's in Grahamstown rectified the alignment and confirmed that the camber was way out of specification, validating that Supa Quick had not corrected the alignment problem. This is a travesty and should be noted by the FRANCHISOR.
