Five return visits and lack of resolution

I am honestly disappointed with the service received from Supaquick Montague Gardens.

I initially took my 2017 Honda Brio in for four new tyres and shock replacement, costing over R8,000. After collecting the vehicle, I noticed damage to one of the rear rims, which I reported the morning after. Despite being told the matter would be investigated, I never received any feedback.

Over the following weeks, my vehicle had to be returned to the branch on five separate occasions due to persistent knocking noises and other issues that only arose after the original service. Various repairs were carried out, yet the problems remain unresolved.

After collecting the vehicle the fourth time, my driver behind me noticed the rear wobbly wheel, an independent assessment identified a bent stub axle affecting the same wheel where the rim damage had been noted after my initial visit. The branch manager has stated that it’s a damaged subframe. This is a huge safety concern. While I cannot confirm when or how this damage occurred, the circumstances have raised serious concerns for me regarding the handling of my vehicle while in Supaquick’s care. My vehicle had no suspension related issues prior.

After no fair resolution, I escalated the matter to Supaquick Head Office in writing and requested that they investigate and assist with a fair resolution. Despite following up, I have received no response or acknowledgement to date.

What has been most frustrating is not only the ongoing issues with my vehicle, but the lack of communication and accountability shown throughout this process. My vehicle is now in a worse condition than when I originally took it in, and I no longer have confidence in the workmanship provided. This replacement part is a huge cost, that I don’t feel should be my responsibility.

Initially I was pleased with the service and communication, but when things went wrong, that unfortunately changed.

I hope Supaquick will engage with me to investigate this matter professionally and work towards a reasonable resolution.
