SunTop Rental *******

In May this year, I hired a H1 vehicle from a company called "Sun Top Car Rental" which was recommended by someone I know, he had used their services before and I started enquiring about their services in April 2023.

I booked the H1 from Friday May 26th to Sunday 28th May 2023 with the owner by the name of Daluxolo Shozi. Everything seemed to be in place, on Thursday the 25th May I deposted R7 500 which included R2 500 deposit at their request.

When I went to collect the vehicle on Friday morning on the 26th of May at Albuny Hotel as per agreement, there was no vehicle and I could not reach the owner of the business on the phone.

After a while i received a message with phone contacts of the driver who was supposed to bring the vehicle to me. The driver told me he was far from where i was and can only deliver the vehicle after couple of hours. After waiting for those hours, I was told that something happened to the H1 and they will deliver a Toyota Quantum as a replacement. That never happened, the owner apologized and promised me a refund.

I had to hire another vehicle from somewhere else to use for that weekend. After that weekend I still never received communication from them, no refund came through and the owner of the business was not taking my calls any more. He sent a message with his assistant's cell number who was not helpful to me in getting my refund. Eventually the assistant stopped taking my calls as well.

To date this company has cut communications with me and still haven't refunded me for service not delivered/rendered. SunTop Car Rental contact: +***8
