SunSavings (solar) - Consumer Warning ⚠️

Consumer Warning ⚠️ We contracted SunSavings (MoonsGate Capital t/a SunSavings) for a household solar installation. Within the first month, we discovered serious safety and compliance defects. Two independent inspectors confirmed the installation was non-compliant and unsafe, with multiple issues affecting the Certificate of Compliance (CoC). Despite repeated reports, SunSavings has: - Ignored us for lengthy periods (despite advertising “24/7 support”). - Months later they have tried to push two separate “full and final settlement” agreements that required waivers of our rights instead of fixing everything properly. - Not provided the inspection report they re**** on to draft their settlement, despite written requests. - Denied that their advertised 18-month workmanship guarantee applies to our installation, even though it is stated on their website under “Home Solar Solutions.” - and was not excluded in our contract. Meanwhile, we’ve had to pay both the solar finance and municipal bills, because the system remains non-compliant (as per the reports). Equally concerning: many of their 5-star Google reviews appear to come from current or former employees or staff at affiliated companies, which may be misleading to prospective customers. We are pursuing legal and regulatory remedies and have copied our finance house on all correspondence. We can substantiate these statements with independent reports, ECA Durban feedback, and written correspondence. 🚨 Advice to prospective clients: - Demand a valid CoC and the full test/commissioning pack - Do not accept vague guarantees—get all warranties confirmed in writing by a director. Based on our experience, we recommend thorough due diligence before engaging with these entities. If you value safety, transparency, and accountability, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere. This is not just about consumer rights—it’s about family safety.
