Sunglass hut selling damaged goods at new cost

Last week Sunday my girlfriend and I went shopping for sunglasses at the Woodlands mall. After quiet a bit of searching at various retailers we located a pair we were interest in at Sunglass hut. However the pair on display had a significant scratch which I was not happy. Hence i asked for an undamaged pair. The sales woman however said that pair is the only pair in stock and insisted she can't order us a pair until the damaged one has been sold. Surely this is a ridiculous policy as the price for the damaged pair of sunglasses is still the original brand new price. I did ask if this is an old brand that has limited stock however she informed me that this is one of the latest brands that has just arrived at the branch. So to me this is no excuse to have no stock. To me I can't understand how a Sunglass shop can only have the pairs on display. Surely if the customer is going to pay R2000 plus for a pair of sunglasses they would want a new pair and not used goods, else they would no be at Sunglass hut but Gumtree
