Broken Ray Ban glass case

I paid R1900 for a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses in August 2014. The case I got broke in April 2015. I called the call centre on 25th of May 2015 to ask if it was under guarantee. I was told a new case will be sent to me, free of charge, I got an e-mail stating that my repair is in progress but haven't heard anything since. They haven't even taken my address, not sure where they plan on sending my new case to. Surely, if you charge such a high price for a product it should last for longer than 8 months?
