After Sales service is PATHETIC

<p>Hi there,</p> <p>I bought sunglasses from Sunglass Hut 2 years ago at their Waterfront store & about 4 months ago both lenses started peeling. I contacted Sunglass Hut warranty department on the 15th of February 2016 via email. No-one contacted me the next day so I had to send another email for a response. On the 17th of February they made contact with me & I sent through all the required documentation together with photos to ***. A lady by the name of Penny phoned me the same day (which was great) & we arranged for the sunglasses to be picked up at my place on the 18th February 2016 – I had to make special arrangements for someone to be at my house for the pick-up. The 18th comes and goes without anybody arriving (the courier company is Dawnwing). I then have to contact Penny again to find out what’s going on & she had no idea. We spoke on the phone again & arranged for pick-up now on the 19th February – the glasses this time were picked up.</p> <p>Time goes on & I’m assuming things are now finally happening until I receive an email from Keshia (***) asking Penny if the parcel had been picked up – this is now the 7th of March. That day I started getting some more info in terms of the repair & I was quoted. I asked if they could please send me a quote on a new pair so I could compare. 15th March 2016 - I eventually gave up because nobody was getting back to me so I decided to go ahead with the repair quote but first asked how long it would take. Once again nobody gets back to me. 17th March 2016, after a threatening email, somebody lets me know (18th March) it will take up to 8 weeks. I then decide to go ahead & make payment – 18th March 2016. We are now the 16th May - 8 weeks later. I have emailed *** twice now (8th & 12th May 2016) to find out what the progress is and guess what? Nobody gets back to me. The service is UNACCEPTABLE & I will never buy sunglasses from them again. I have been without sunglasses since the 19th of February - 12 weeks & who knows when I will get them back!</p>
