As a frequent patron of Suncoast Casino and Entertainment World, as well as a platinum card holder, it is absolutely sad that I have to go public in order to get some feedback on an incident that occurred on the 12th of December 2016.

On the 12th of December 2016 my family and I had visited your casino, at approximately 00H40 we were exiting your casino premises when the incident had occurred. When exiting I had produced my slip to the officer that was at the boom, he was standing and asleep, I held my slip in my hand and he looked at me and refused to take it, I then dropped the slip and proceeded to press the green button for the boom to open. When I had done this your officer jammed the boom and denied me to exit the premises. I had a long line of cars behind me and asked him to call his supervisor. The staff was rude and arrogant in the way he spoke and acted.

He had let other cars go pass me on the boom that was next to me and had put a barrier pole behind my bar and on the side so I could not move anywhere. We had waited for over 20min in this situation, when I asked him where is the supervisor he kept quiet and then told me to proceed out the exit, to which I refused to until I spoke to the supervisor on duty. I waited about 45min and then I had to call your casino myself to tell them to send the security supervisor out to main entrance because the staff did not do so.

Please keep in mind that all this while I had my mom and dad who are 75 years old in the car as well as my daughter. When the supervisor did come down, after explaining the matter to him he took down an affidavit to which I have a copy and he said that someone from the hotel will be in contact with me. We left the premises around 1:30am.

After two weeks did I get a call of apology from Suncoast and all they said was that the staff would be investigated further and I would be contacted. It is now over a month from when this incident occurred and I have no solid feedback on what has happened here. As a platinum holder I do not wish to receive service like this from staff that would not be employed there if we do not support you guys.

Early this week after I had made another phone call to Suncoast, did the head of security tell me that they had sent an email, to which I have not received to date. So please, can someone tell me, if this had to happen to a Black person, would we all not be up in arms and call it a racial matter?
