Assaulted At Suncoast Cine Centre

<p>I am absolutely appalled by the recent experience that I had at Suncoast Cine Centre. On Sunday the 15 of May my friend and I were both physically assaulted in the theatre that was displaying The Jungle Book. In the middle of the movie, someone continuously kicked my chair, I turned around and asked them to Stop. At the end of the movie whilst gathering my possessions in an effort to exit the theatre, the female that I had spoken to about the continous irritation pertaining to the chair kicking, physically assaulted me because she assumed that I was talking to her 5 year old (which is highly ridiculous). I had to then defend myself. Other members of her family joined the assault, to which my friend concurrently joined in order to prevent me from being increasingly harmed. When we eventually exited the theatre, we were again assaulted in the corridor of Suncoast Cine Centre. Security personnel took FOREVER to respond to the situation, by which time, both and my friend and I were subjected to insurmountable physical harm. Eventually when the altercation ceased and we were amidst Suncoast Cine personnel, they were not wearing any name tags and did not do anything to resolve the issue, but ship us off to Suncoast Security. Suncoast Security then suspended us for 1 year from being able to enter their property. Concurrently, they had also advised us to report the assault to the police which we did.</p> <p>My lawyer advised me to post these occurrences on HelloPeter in an effort to retrieve recourse, or if such recourse is not achieved from Suncoast Cine Centre, to deal with matter lawfully.</p> <p>Matters I'd like to raise:</p> <p>1. The mother that issued the assault stated that the child was 5 years old and the age restriction according to my ticket stub reads 10. Is Suncoast Cine Centre therefore eliciting an ethos of violence and exposing our young children to it?</p> <p>2. If Suncoast Cine staff worked diligently, then the mother nor the child would have been in the theatre and therfore I would not have been assaulted. </p> <p>3. 5 year olds do not have an attention span to watch a full 2 hour movie without fiddling/engaging in extraneous activity , this is why the child should not have been in theatre that catered to maturity.</p> <p>4. We pay good money for our tickets, why should kids disrupt our movie viewing. Who plans to reimburse us for poor movie experience?</p> <p>5. Who plans to revoke my suspension from Suncoast? When clearly the *********** staff at Suncoast Cine were to blame.</p> <p>6. How will my friend and I receive reparations for the humiliation that we incurred? People stood outside the theatre videoing the entire assault.</p> <p>7. How will my friend and I receive recourse for the physical harm that we incurred on Suncoast Cine property?</p> <p>8. Why aren't there cameras in movie theatres? The assault initially occurred there.</p> <p>9. How will justice be severed?</p> <p>10. Will children continuously be allowed to watch movies that are above their age restriction, exposing them to violence, thus turning the into delinquent individuals like the one that assaulted my friend and myself?</p> <p>11. My friend and I are both traumatised by the experience and are unable to work. Who will be paying our salaries?</p> <p>12. We have both incurred post traumatic stress, experiencing both insomnia and nightmares. How will Suncoast Cine Centre seek to help us overcome this.</p> <p>13. I'm writing exams this month, because of the traumatic experience I am unable to study for my exams. Who intends to pay my university fees in the event that I fail my modules?</p> <p>14. Suncoast Security made it seem like Nu Metro were to blame for this issue making it look like they were tenants on Suncoast property and not Suncoast Cine Centre!</p> <p>I WANT RECOURSE!</p> <p>ABSOLUTELY FLABBERGASTED!</p>
