Sunchlor and Poolex Poor Service

I purchased two Sunchlor Solar Salt Chlrintor units last year one for my rental property and one for my own residence. The one unit at my rental place seems to be working fine according to my tenant. However, the unit that was installed at my home is not performing as it should.

I have had many sessions with the owner Michael and currently with his wife and business partner in this regard. I tried all his recommendations over a few months but the unit is still not performing well and under-producing chlorine. My pool currently is green with algae. I am now convinced that the unit's position is in the incorrect position as it does not receive enough direct sunlight.

I request that this unit moved to a more suitable location but now after many months of back and forth with Sunchlor (Poolex) they want to charge me a substantial amount to move the unit. They are claiming I told them where to put the unit. I did make a suggestion and told them they should decide as they are the experts.

I expected them as the experts to know the correct position where it should have been installed. I discourage anyone to purchase these Sunchlor Solar Chlorinator units from Sunchlor and Poolex because after-sales service is seriously lacking and they do not fulfil their warranty as claimed.
