Transparency Issue Continues to Be Ignored
As a veteran slot player both with online and land casinos, I've been gaming for nearly 40 years, I understand both the player perspective and the operational backend of these platforms. My experience with SunBet has unfortunately been one of the least transparent I’ve encountered. Over the last several weeks, I’ve submitted more than 50 requests for specific information regarding RTP (Return to Player percentages) and RNG (Random Number Generator) functionality, fundamental aspects pertaining to fairplay. Information regarding engines that generate the outcomes of slots spins and power the games,as well as the recording of data from said games, relevant to the payout percentages over certain timelines.. Each request has been met with silence, generic responses, or unexplained delays. This isn’t about impatience, it’s about principle. Fair gaming requires transparency, and currently, that’s sorely lacking here. One or two games in particular, Wheel of Wonder and Bonanza, as well as others, have displayed highly predictable behavior across multiple sessions, raising fair and serious concerns about the legitimacy of their randomness. If it's predictable it's not random. When coupled with the persistent and consistent manner in which these games deliver the same losing results, sustained over lengthy periods, it leaves little room for dpunt. Despite repeated requests for clarification or audit evidence or proof I received no clear answers. What I did get was silence. Ignorance and a mountain of stall and delay tactics. As of now - still nothing, not a word. This only begs more questions, Why? Beyond this, SunBet offers minimal transparency on other equally important areas, with little to no information on things like: When were your games last independently audited? What effect does changing your denomination or currency have on game volatility and RTP. How are RTP values calculated and fulfilled over time? Etc These are not obscure nor over- technical questions. They are fundamental to responsible gaming and improving players options and choices. Yet the process of trying to get answers has been unreasonably long and obstructive. Exhausting and elusive with futility the result, so far at least. Players are entitled to clear, accurate, and timely information, especially when real money is involved. In my personal opinion, SunBet’s continued lack of openness gives players little to work with and makes it difficult to trust the system in place. The observations regarding the slot outcomes for certain games are in stark contrast to Sunbets official claims regarding RTP percentages, and the deviation from industry standards and norms seems far too great. This is not a once off incident but rather a sustained consistent result that has persisted for just about every single game session on the Sunbet platform, for months now There is no noticeable variance or upswing to balance the win/loss ratio to a level acceptable as fair because losses far exceeded wins and the balance is just not right. Gambling is not just a out losing, there must also be winning and a balance must exist. Over decades one gets to know the cycles and expected variances of some games and when it's underperforming to such an extreme, it's difficult to miss. This could be resolved in an instant if Sunbet would simply provide the RNG certification documents and the RTP reports for the last 90 days for each game. But great effort is taken to avoid doing this and to date at the time of writing this, it still has not been provided , but rather concealed and kept hidden instead. Deliberately keeping players in the dark about such important matters. Only verbal assurance has been offered which is absolutely not proof.
This review reflects my own experience at Sunbet and is only my opinion. It is however 100% factual and delivered with the intent of helping other players, or potential new players who are thinking of playing, make a better informed decision about which online casino to spend their hard earned money with. In south Africa, this industry and market is fast saturating with new operators emerging almost daily. Some offer a honest and fair experience with better incentives, while others may not have good intentions at all and offer a service that only benefits them, this is all done under the guise of entertainment Information is flooded at us from all sides and can create confusion, it is with this in mind that I offer my 2 cents. Players have a right to know and first hand personal experiences carry more weight than any marketing campaign does. Transparency should be a minimum standard, not a luxury at a casinos discretion. Beware of playing on the Sunbet platform. Fairness is a real issue here and although you are given a sense of security and personal assurances of fairness, just know that all this is, is lip service. Anybody can say anything about anything, but that doesn't make it so. Be wise, do your own due diligence and get more than your hosts opinion of themselves , or you may be in for a nightmare. On a separate note: This is not the Sun international of yonder days, The majestic hotel and casino operator, a South African legendary company, that we all grew up with, admiring it's lavish professional approach , in everything it did . Always professional and always bending over backwards to ensure our well being and mostly our enjoyment when engaging their products, be it hotel stays or casino visits or both, our happiness as customers was paramount, and the comps galore ensured that. Room comps, Free meals and drinks , free casino cash, promotions with actual prizes that were winable, slots with real jackpots not pennies, to an extra nights stay- free , to free bar access , free show tickets- extravaganzas, to travel arrangements, free parking and discounts on just about everything else, you name it they did it . They knew hospitality and defined generosity and they made living fun and exciting giving us holidays to dream for which couldn't come fast enough, we spent all year waiting to go, looking forward to lapping up all they had to offer. Boy those were the days . But that was then and this is now. Sun international has fallen from grace in a big way and is just a shell of it's former self. A once proud and majestic group that made a desperate reach into the online gambling market a bit late , has become a shadow of it's former glory, desperately trying to match up but in so doing hay resorted to a lack lustre approach to everything especially to customer satisfaction. Little to no effort is made to even address our concerns, coupled with exorbitant charges on everything from parking to penthouse suites , it feels like an exploitative approach and this is definitely felt through the online platform - Sunbet. In my opinion this leaves them trailing in last place when ranking against other online operators. Sunbet are not Sun city or in any way like the old sun international ,albeit the same company, the two are complete opposites - One was a dream, one is a nightmare. Avoid!
