Millions Deposited, Years of Loyalty – Is This What SunBet Calls VIP Treatment?
⭐ Years of Loyalty to SunBet – Unfortunately, Their VIP Service Has Lost Its Meaning
I have been with SunBet for years, going back to when the casino had a fraction of the games it has today. I have watched the platform grow and remained an extremely loyal customer throughout that time.
Between approximately June 2025 and June 2026 alone, my deposits were around R2.1 million. Over my overall history with SunBet, my losses have been substantial. SunBet has the records and can verify the exact figures.
I mention those numbers for context, not because I believe losing money entitles anybody to unlimited bonuses.
My complaint is about how dramatically the VIP experience, communication and relationship management have deteriorated.
For years I had a very good relationship with my previous VIP host, Jaco. My account was looked at regularly based on my activity. Sometimes I received something, sometimes I didn’t, but there was a relationship and I felt that my loyalty and level of play were actually recognised.
More recently, I was assigned to Wassim, and suddenly I was told that my account was subject to a seven-day bonusing mandate.
The strange part is that I know another VIP customer who was apparently given a different frequency, which naturally left me questioning how these mandates are determined and whether they genuinely are individual to each account.
I repeatedly tried explaining something very simple:
I wasn’t asking for bigger bonuses. I actually wanted smaller bonuses more frequently when my level of play justified them.
The reason is equally simple. Historically, receiving a bonus didn’t stop me depositing. Quite often I would play the bonus, lose it and deposit again immediately afterwards.
So from a commercial perspective, I genuinely struggle to understand a VIP system that effectively encourages a highly active customer to stop playing at SunBet for the remainder of the seven-day period.
Things eventually became considerably worse during a conversation with my VIP host.
After questioning the mandate and asking whether his manager could reconsider the frequency applicable to my account, I was told:
“He made an exception for you, unless you want it to end completely I’d be more respectful towards these decisions taken for you.”
I interpreted that as effectively being told that if I continued questioning the decision, an exception or benefit could “end completely.”
When I questioned whether I was being threatened, I was then told that if I wasn’t happy with my host, I was welcome to request another one.
So I did exactly that.
I formally requested to be reassigned.
And this is where my disappointment moved beyond one interaction with one employee and became a complaint about SunBet’s VIP management as a whole.
I contacted management, explained exactly what had happened, supp**** the context and requested another VIP host.
I even specifically suggested Sharon or Joseph because my previous interactions with them had always been respectful and professional.
Despite this, I was still waiting almost a full week later for management to properly address my request.
That is extraordinary for something described as VIP service.
I don’t expect SunBet to break rules for me.
I don’t expect unlimited bonuses.
I don’t expect to receive something simply because I have lost money.
What I DO expect after years of loyalty and millions of rand in deposits is:
• Clear and consistent communication • A VIP host I am comfortable dealing with • Management that responds when a serious complaint is escalated • Transparency regarding the rules applicable to my account • The ability to question a decision without feeling that my VIP treatment might disappear as a consequence
What makes this particularly disappointing is that SunBet itself used to provide exactly that kind of personalised service.
That relationship was one of the main reasons I remained so loyal to the platform.
If the new policy is simply that somebody can deposit and play at a very substantial level but their VIP account can only be considered once every seven days, that is SunBet’s decision.
But then be transparent about it.
Because if that’s the arrangement, I can make my own commercial decision as a customer and dramatically reduce how much I play at SunBet or take my business elsewhere.
The saddest part is that this entire situation was avoidable.
I wasn’t demanding thousands upon thousands of rand.
I was asking for consistency, reasonable recognition based on activity, a host I trust, and eventually just a response from management.
After years of loyalty, I never imagined I would reach the point where I would have to publicly ask:
What exactly does being a SunBet VIP mean anymore?
Because right now, based on my recent experience, it feels increasingly like VIP in name only.
