No guarantee on products.

I bought a kettle from take a lot with a one year guarantee, but had to return it after five months still waiting on a replacement. Has been told by take a lot there is no more stock. Why cant they return the item to their supplier for a replacement.? Why does Sunbeam guarantee their items for a year when you cant exchange it after five months. Shocking service from such a reputable brand. I am totally disgusted.
