Vespa leather jacket ****** in VIP section of Encore at Sun City while only staff is in VIP

<p>I was at Sun City's only night club, Encore, in the VIP section on Sat the 8th July 2017 and was partying till late.</p> <p> </p> <p>At around 3am I wanted to put my jacket down somewhere safe (as there is no cloak room on offer at Encore). I was in the VIP section for the night so decided to go an deposit my jacket there while I danced downstairs, I left it next to the bouncer/security on duty whom was sitting on the couches there and asked him to ensure no one took my jacket, there were no VIP partygoers left and the VIP section had been closed, so it was the safest possible place to put my jacket while I was dancing.</p> <p> </p> <p>When I returned at closing time circa 4am the jacket was gone and the security guard gave me a blank stare saying he didn't know where it went. Some important keys were inside the jacket, so it wasn't just the sentimental value and economic value of the jacket that was lost when it was ******. I use the word ****** as it was clearly ******, the fact that the VIP section had closed already before 3am when I left the jacket there and only staff were left in VIP indicates that it wasn't some party goer that mistook my jacket on their way out, and seems to implicate Sun International staff in the theft.</p> <p> </p> <p>I spoke with the security manager from 4.15am until 4.45am on duty while they tried to assertain if a staff member simply didn't just take it to "lost and found"thinking that someone had left the jacket behind, no jacket was forthcoming unfortunately. I returned at midday on Sunday to explain to the next day's security manager the situation and to double check that it wasn't perhaps sitting with lost and found or some other location the staff might put a found jacket, with no jacket forthcoming.</p> <p> </p> <p>This situation is unacceptable as I specifically tried to find the safest location to leave my jacket, in the absence of a cloak room service, as I was aware that if my jacket was ******, it would be a great loss! I did everything possible to ensure the safekeeping of the jacket acting as a legaly termed "reasonable person" and yet still, it was ******...</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>I recieved a letter today confirming that an investigation they apparently conducted regarding the matter has not yielded my jacket, nor any answers as to whom stole it.</p> <p>Sun International also did not offer any reparations for my ****** jacket and basically just said "sorry your jacket was ******".
