UNBELIEVABLE Sun International Booking Disaster
We emailed to request a booking at Vacation Club for 5 adults and 5 children between 26 and 29 Dec. Unbeknownst to us, we were emailed two separate proforma invoices for R14500 which we assumed were just duplicates of the same thing. Our booking request was extremely clear and the first invoice amount of R14500 was what we thought we had to pay. Because you don't expect two invoices for one booking we opened the first attachment believing that was the amount due for the three nights.
We then booked flights from Cape Town to get to Joburg
Sun Internationals expectation totalling the two invoices was R29000, which is well beyond what we can afford.
We now have flights with Kulula that can't be cancelled and do not have accommodation.
This is a flawed Sun International process. It really is about time that South African corporates take responsibility for the way their confusing processes work and the losses these can cause.
While the Vacation Club team have listened, Sun International however have advised they are not able to assist. My mother has had 5 serious operations this year the holiday was for her to be with her 5 grandchildren who she rarely sees and this is a disaster.
