Toilet Overflowing - Sun City SOHO Hotel

I had booked into the SOHO Hotel from the 30th December 22 and departed on the 6th of January 23.

Compliments to your staff at breakfast for their co-ordination of people and for your waitress at the pool, they were outstanding.

Now for my complaint,

1. It was disgusting that on 2 occasions over our stay that the communal toilets near the breakfast area had backed up to which on 1 occasion we had to walk on the water overflowing from the toilets. 2. I had the unpleasantness of walking into the toilet as it overflowed. When I brought this to the attention of cleaner, the male and female cleaner rep**** they have logged a call 2 hours ago and was still waiting. Surely an issue of this nature gets top priority. 3. Surely there is something that can be done to combat the toilet smell which lingers in permanently in the air. 4. You can understand that the pool looked like it needed to be resurfaced but there is no excuses as to not cleaning the pool because the pool looked like it was never cleaned and was not pleasant to swim in. 5. You are a holiday destination , why do you close the pool bar at 18:00 when guest just want to chill at their hotel? Surely you can close later. 6. It took almost a day to fix the lift which result in people using the stairs, once again no urgency. I have pins in my left leg and using the stairs as very painful for me.

My opinion , Sun International is losing the plot and a poor choice for a holiday destination when the Kingdom is a better choice as a holiday destination.

My family is simple, we just want to chill at a pool and order food and drinks, we are not bigger gamblers or make use of the valley of the waves or frequent the game hall for the kids. If we do it once, we are happy.

Its breakfast , pool , room and sleep which we repeat daily.

Spending close to 50k on accommodation and experiencing the toilet issue let us very unsatisfied and unhappy on this holiday.

We all want to give our family the best , unfortunately Sun City doesn’t offer the best in the interest of their customers.
